Flood

FROM MYLA:

Many of you have been asking about Jineen and have been concerned about the flooding that has been going on in Nashville and surrounding areas. Jineen is probably going to be able to expound on this better that I can, but I will tell you that Jineen and her family are fine and they did not personally experience any water damage. Their little town of Franklin, however, was flooded. I'm not sure how badly damaged it is at this point but I'm praying it hasn't devastated downtown. It is the cutest area and has so many great stores; I'm hoping they were spared.

Nashville was hit pretty hard. The Cumberland River crested all the way up to 3rd Ave. There are pics at:

The Opryland Hotel was extremely damaged and the pictures are crazy! 15 to 19 feet of water in the portico area. The last death count on the news is 30 people in the Nashville area, mostly elderly people, which I think is incredibly sad.

There are 3 hospitals in the area and 2 experienced water damage. Fortunately, the 1 where we will be delivering was not effected by the flooding at all! :) Jineen was even able to get to her OBGYN appointment yesterday and that office is downtown. We are blessed that we won't have to worry about that process being altered next week for Lexa's delivery.

Jineen can expound on the flooding and rain if she wants to; I do know that her brother Jamie and many others from their church have been out helping families in need this week. Please pray for them and this area that has been so abruptly destroyed by high waters. It will be a long process of clean up and restoration.
